High Performance Teams
HOW ENGAGED ARE YOUR LEADERS?
When Jesus enlisted His team to follow Him and assist Him in carrying out ministry, He had to ensure they were fully engaged.
A fully engaged leader is actively involved and enthusiastic
about his or her role in ministry. He or she is willing to give exceptional results rather than acceptable results to ensure ministry success, which will become contagious to the ministry team.
However, moderately engaged leaders gives acceptable results, just enough to get by, concentrates on the job at hand and adds little or no extra value. The disengaged leader demonstrates negativity in his or her role and undermines the accomplishments of others, potentially creating a unpleasant atmosphere in the church or ministry. Engaged leaders feel personally connected to the ministry, they are positive influencers, building healthy relationships.
Engaged leaders are more productive, and are less likely to create problems for the church.
